ENERCEPT SUPER INSULATED WALLS

When examining the construction process of any energy efficient building, we must first take a look at the exterior envelope of the building. The SIP (structurally insulated wall panel) provides both the highest R/U value and is the most cost effective building option on the market today. This super insulated wall has been approved by the World Building Association and is certified by the American Institute of Architects. It can expedite the construction process by up to 25%. By comparison to standard stick framing, as we know it, super-insulated walls save unprecedented amount of time, money and material waste.

Super insulated walls are made with an expanded polystyrene foam interior that has the highest fire rating within all foam-insulated walls. It also prevents heat from escaping through the walls thereby providing a better insulated; more energy efficient house. It is the most eco friendly wall on the market today. Super insulated walls can also stand up to hurricane winds of over 200 miles per hour. There is simply no other wall that is as strong, more cost effective or more energy efficient as the structurally insulated wall panel. The next evolution of building in the United States and Worldwide for the future will be a shift from labor-intensive stick frame to more energy efficient technologies such as our building standard.

Enercept Inc. manufactures our walls with over 27 years of experience in the production of exterior walls. Enercept Inc. was chosen by an international team because of its eco friendly structure and super insulation value. It has erected one of their super insulated buildings in the South Pole for an international program of scientists. The South Pole is one of the coldest climates known to mankind. They take a great deal of pride in the quality of their product and the reputation they have built within the industry. Our standard of building can be applied to both Commercial and Residential building internationally.

D.A.S.I. - South Pole SIPs Project

Enercept provides SIPs for the International Science Station at the South Pole. Here Summer temperatures average minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Why do they build with Enercept SIPs? The insulation and quick construction.

If we can keep these guys warm... imagine how cozy your home will be.

D.A.S.I.
The Degree Angular Scale Interferometer - DASI - is 13 tiny telescopes working together to produce detailed images that help determine the universe's overall geometry and composition. Enercept provided the panels for the dish that protects the telescopes as well as the Martin A. Pomerantz Observatory building connected to the dish tower. D.A.S.I. is funded by the National Science Foundation.

Why is the South Pole colder than the North Pole?
At the South Pole, the surface of the ice sheet is more than two kilometers above sea level, where the air is much thinner and colder. Antarctica is, on average, the highest continent on the earth. However, the floating ice surface at the North Pole is only a foot or so above sea level. The Arctic Ocean, at the North Pole, acts as a heat reservoir, warming the cold atmosphere above it in the winter and drawing heat from the atmoshpere in the summer.
